Tickets for the MBNA Chester Music Festival, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre and the Chester Literature Festival are now free for all accompanied under 12’s, and are set to be so for the foreseeable future. The move has come in a determined effort to see as many young people as possible attend our lively programme of events and festivals. We are very excited to announce a brand new partnership with MBNA. The Chester-based business are the new headline sponsors of the MBNA Chester Music Festival. Rogues’ Galleries, is a brand new festival celebrating Chester’s rich history of trades, guilds and shopping. The free programme sees empty shop units in Chester City Centre re-opened as artist studios. Countdown to Festival Opening
Our brand new festival, Rogues’ Galleries opens on Thursday 14th March. The FREE programme will see empty shop units in Chester City Centre re-opened as artist studios. Creating an artistic interpretation of the high street, audiences can explore a range of performances, installations and workshops. The 11 day event will also feature a programme of short films and workshops, including, the return of the regions original 48 Hour Film Challenge, Blogging for Beginners and Digital Marketing for Creatives workshops. Grosvenor Park Young Theatre to Return for 2013
We are delighted to confirm that Grosvenor Park Young Theatre will return to our beloved open air theatre later this summer. We need young people aged between 16 – 24 years from Cheshire and surrounding areas to write, direct and perform in a brand new play that will be performed in our unique picnic theatre. Ticket sales for literature festival top 7,000!
Ticket sales for this year’s Essar Chester Literature Festival have exceeded 7,000, which is a massive 60% above 2011 figures. We’d like to say we have a magic wand, but in reality it’s just a brilliant programme!
